Yuri Hiramitsu, née à Gifu, au Japon, commence le piano à 4 ans, le marimba et les percussions à 13 ans. Elle étudie la musique à l’Université des Arts d’Aichi au Japon avec Momoko Kamiya, puis au Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris (CRR de Paris) avec Éric Sammut, où elle obtient un diplôme de perfectionnement en marimba en 2018.

En 2015, Yuri donne son premier récital à Kyoto🇯🇵, avec le soutien d’une bourse de la Fondation de musique Aoyama, qu’elle conserve pendant deux ans. En 2016, elle interprète Le Carnaval des Animaux de Camille Saint-Saëns à Paris🇫🇷, aux côtés des pianistes Karin Nagano, Mari Kodama et Momo Kodama, sous la direction de son père, Kent Nagano. 

Elle donne des récitals de marimba solo à Caen🇫🇷 (2016), Bordeaux🇫🇷 (2018) et Gifu, Japon🇯🇵 (2019, 2021, 2023, 2024). 

En 2021, elle a interprété le Concertino pour marimba de Paul Creston avec l'Orchestre d'Harmonie de Thorigny🇫🇷. En 2024, elle s'est produite avec succès au Cap Ferret Music Festival🇫🇷.

Yuri a remporté de nombreux prix lors de concours internationaux. En 2022, elle obtient le 2ᵉ prix au concours France Musique🇫🇷et atteint les demi-finales du World Marimba Competition à Stuttgart🇩🇪. En 2018, elle remporte le 2ᵉ prix au Mallet Lab Marimba Competition et joue au festival de percussions PASIC aux États-Unis🇺🇸. Elle décroche également le 2ᵉ prix au Concours International de Marimba de Pescara🇮🇹(2018) et le 3ᵉ prix en 2016. Auparavant, elle obtient le 5ᵉ prix au Concours des Instruments à Vent et Percussions de Tokyo🇯🇵 (2014) et le 1ᵉʳ prix à la Kobe International Music Competition🇯🇵 (2013).

Installée en France, Yuri enseigne le marimba, les percussions et le piano dans les conservatoires et se produit régulièrement en concert en France et au Japon. En 2023, elle obtient le Diplôme d’État (DE) de professeur de percussions. Depuis 2024, elle est marimba artiste chez Malletech🇺🇸.

Yuri Hiramitsu, born in Gifu, Japan, started learning piano at 4 years old, marimba and percussions at 13 years old. She studied music at Aichi University of the Arts in Japan with Momoko Kamiya and later at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris (CRR de Paris) with Eric Sammut, earning an advanced diploma in marimba in 2018. 

In 2015, Yuri gave her first recital in Kyoto🇯🇵, supported by a scholarship from the Aoyama Music Foundation, which she held for two years. In 2016, she performed The Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saëns in Paris🇫🇷 with pianists Karin Nagano, Mari Kodama, and Momo Kodama, under the direction of her father, Kent Nagano. 

She has given solo marimba recitals in Caen🇫🇷 (2016), Bordeaux🇫🇷 (2018), and Gifu, Japan🇯🇵 (2019, 2021, 2023, 2024).

Yuri has won many prizes in international competitions. In 2022, she earned 2nd Prize at the France Musique Competition🇫🇷 and reached the semi-finals of the World Marimba Competition in Stuttgart🇩🇪. In 2018, she received 2nd Prize at the Mallet Lab Marimba Competition and performed at the PASIC percussion festival in the USA🇺🇸. She also won 2nd Prize at the Pescara International Marimba Competition🇮🇹 (2018) and 3rd Prize in 2016. Earlier, she earned 5th Prize at the Tokyo Wind and Percussion Competition🇯🇵 (2014) and 1st Prize at the Kobe International Music Competition🇯🇵 (2013).

Now based in France, Yuri teaches marimba, percussion, and piano at conservatories and performs regularly in France and Japan. In 2023, she earned the Diplôme d'État (DE) as a certified percussion teacher. Since 2024, she has been a Malletech marimba artist🇺🇸.

岐阜県出身、4歳よりピアノを13歳よりマリンバと打楽器を始める。岐阜県立加納高等学校音楽科、愛知県立芸術大学卒業。大学在学時、優秀学生賞を受賞、及び中村桃子基金奨学生に選ばれる。また同大学の定期演奏会にソリストとして出演。在学中、第18回🇯🇵KOBE国際音楽コンクールで最優秀賞（最高位）を受賞、第11回🇮🇹イタリア国際打楽器コンクールマリンバ部門で第3位、第31回🇯🇵日本管打楽器コンクールで総参加者110人中、入賞者中唯一の学生として第5位を受賞する。

また在学中、平成25年・26年度の京都青山音楽財団奨学生に選ばれ、大学卒業後に同財団の助成を受け、京都・青山音楽記念館バロックザールホールで、自身初となるマリンバリサイタルを開催する。

その後2015年秋に渡仏し、パリ国立管弦楽団の打楽器奏者であるエリック・サミュ氏の元で研鑽を積み、2018年パリ地方音楽院パーフェクショヌモン課程を修了。

在籍中の2016年、🇫🇷フランス・パリにてケントナガノの指揮で、サンサーンスの動物の謝肉祭の打楽器パートを演奏、またソリストとしてマリンバを演奏。

翌年🇫🇷フランス・カーンのコンセルヴァトワールでマリンバのソロコンサートを、また2018年🇫🇷フランス・ボルドーでマリンバリサイタルを開催。同年、第16回🇮🇹イタリア国際打楽器コンクールマリンバ部門で第2位を受賞、🇺🇸Mallet lab marimba competition にて第2位を受賞し、世界最大の打楽器フェスティバル「PASIC」に招待され、アメリカでマリンバを演奏する。

2021年、🇫🇷トリニー吹奏楽団とポール・クレストンのマリンバのためのコンチェルティーノを共演。2022年🇩🇪世界マリンバコンクール（シュトゥットガルト）にてセミファイナリスト。同年、🇫🇷フランス音楽コンクールにて審査員一致第2位を受賞。2024年、キャップ・フェレ音楽祭にてマリンバを演奏し好評を博す。

現在はフランスの音楽院で打楽器やピアノの指導にあたっている。2023年にフランス音楽院打楽器指導国家資格を取得。2024年より🇺🇸アメリカ大手マリンバ会社マレテック社マリンバアーティスト。
